BUYER-TASK COMPARISON

AI Cite Who vs OtterlyAI vs Profound

Compare checking ChatGPT recommendations, reviewing cited sources, and turning observations into website tasks. Choose the workflow that fits your questions and budget.

What can you inspect for a buyer question?

The table compares documented workflows. A prompt allowance, a monthly credit balance and a trial are different units; they are not interchangeable measures of coverage. On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to read every product column.

When each workflow may fit

Start with the job you need to complete. These are selection criteria inferred from the documented scope, not a claim that one product delivers better answers.

  • Consider AI Cite Who if you want a bounded ChatGPT check for a small SaaS, a public website baseline, and an evidence-linked backlog you implement yourself.
  • Consider OtterlyAI if your priority is a daily prompt allowance across the engines included in its chosen plan; verify the sources and export fields you need during the trial.
  • Consider Profound if your team wants the broader prompt, citation and content workflows it documents; use its trial or a scoped quote to check budget and fit.

Ask to see one complete evidence path

Choose a buyer question, then inspect the observed recommended options, the final-answer cited URLs and the proposed change. A search result returned during retrieval is not automatically a citation.

  • Does the tool preserve the exact question and answer language for that run?
  • Can you distinguish a recommendation from a passing mention?
  • Can you inspect cited page URLs rather than only a domain score?
  • Does a task identify a page, the observed evidence, facts to verify and a completion check?

Verify equivalence before comparing numbers

We have not run these three products against the same questions in paid accounts. Their sampling, engines, counting rules and billing units may differ. A feature absent from a checked page is unverified, not proven unavailable.

Test the same wording and language, record dates and engine settings, then inspect several results by hand. Even matching conditions cannot make a future answer deterministic. No change or vendor guarantees a recommendation.
