AI Cite Who vs OtterlyAI vs Scrunch AI: Pricing and Fit

Compare AI Cite Who, OtterlyAI and Scrunch AI on pricing, daily monitoring, evidence and action reports. Choose the workflow your small team can actually use.

Start with a free website analysisFree analysis checks public website evidence. AI recommendation audits are paid and use questions and platforms you select.

Which tool should you choose?

  • Choose AI Cite Who when a focused set of buyer questions should lead to inspectable evidence and an action report. Plus is $49.90/month with 300 shared monthly credits.
  • Choose OtterlyAI when affordable daily tracking is your first requirement. Lite starts at $29/month for 15 prompts, and the product also includes GEO audits and recommendations. 134
  • Evaluate Scrunch when you need monitoring alongside agent traffic and site optimization. Its current Core page advertises $250/month; enterprise content delivery needs a separate scope. 57
  • Compare the task, included platforms and frequency before comparing prices. Saved questions, tracked prompts, collected responses and audit credits are different units.

1. Quick comparison: monitoring, diagnosis or content delivery?

If your next question is “Why are competitors appearing for the buying situations we care about, and what should we investigate first?”, we recommend starting with AI Cite Who. Select a manageable question set, inspect the captured answers and sources, and use the action report to plan work your team can review. Start with the free website baseline if you first need to check your public pages; AI buyer-answer evidence requires a paid audit.

If your first requirement is an inexpensive recurring view of brand presence, OtterlyAI deserves a look. If your team needs agent traffic analysis and a broader site optimization workflow, evaluate Scrunch. These are buying priorities, not exclusive capabilities: both competitors offer optimization features as well as monitoring.

We operate AI Cite Who. This comparison uses official public documentation checked on October 11, 2026 and our current product rules. Our recommendations are editorial judgments. We have not run a standardized paid-account benchmark across all three tools, and this article does not establish which one produces better business results.

2. Start with the decision your team needs to make

A founder with two people handling marketing may need three useful fixes before the next launch. A specialist responsible for weekly brand reporting may need a reliable stream of observations. An enterprise web team may need to change how content reaches AI agents. Each can reasonably choose a different tool.

Write one sentence before purchasing: “At the end of this month, we need to decide which pages or sources to investigate,” or “We need to review how our tracked visibility changed.” Then name who will read the evidence and who will implement changes. A subscription that collects more data than anyone can review creates a larger inbox, not a completed optimization program.

Our preference for AI Cite Who is strongest when the team wants a bounded investigation and an evidence-supported work plan. It is weaker when the main requirement is a large set of prompts checked every day. Buy the workflow that matches your actual review cadence.

3. OtterlyAI pricing: a lower starting price, with platform choices

OtterlyAI’s monthly pricing lists Lite at $29 for 15 search prompts, Standard at $189 for 100, and Premium at $489 for 400. Daily tracking and unlimited team members are listed. The four included engines are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot; Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are add-ons. Lite’s monthly Gemini add-on is $9, making that selected package $38 before tax. It remains below AI Cite Who Plus’s $49.90 entry price. 1

Its citation analysis helps identify recurring source domains and compare your brand with competitors. The GEO Audit checks an individual URL for access and content readiness and includes query fan-out. OtterlyAI also offers recommendations, export and timeline annotations. It would be inaccurate to dismiss it as a dashboard with no next steps. 234

For a small daily prompt set, try that workflow against the questions you care about. Before moving to a larger plan, confirm that its prompt scope, extra engines and recommendations cover the actual task. The relevant comparison with AI Cite Who is how easily your team can validate and use the findings, rather than which product can claim to have an action feature.

4. Scrunch pricing: distinguish Core from enterprise AXP

The current browser-visible Scrunch pricing page advertises Core at $250/mo: 125 unique prompts, 5,000 responses per month, five site audits, one brand workspace and five user licenses. It lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot for Core. Confirm the billing term, taxes and collection schedule before purchasing; the displayed prompt count is not a promise of unlimited answers. 5

Core includes insights and recommendations, with limited page optimization and basic content generation. Enterprise has custom pricing and broader coverage; AXP content delivery is listed there rather than in Core. A general nine-platform product description should therefore not be treated as Core’s included coverage. The help center also notes that Grok does not contribute citation data. 56

Scrunch’s Agent Pages proposition is to serve optimized page content to AI agent visits. That can justify a wider evaluation when content delivery is part of the requirement. Ask for a demonstration on a representative page, a scoped commercial proposal and a clear process for reviewing served content. If the immediate need is an investigation your small team will implement manually, we would start by evaluating AI Cite Who’s more focused workflow. 7

5. AI Cite Who pricing: budget for the audits you will review

AI Cite Who Plus costs $49.90/month or $499/year, with 300 shared monthly credits, two projects, 50 saved questions per project and up to 10 selected questions per audit. Pro costs $99.90/month or $999/year, with 900 credits, five projects, 100 saved questions per project and up to 20 questions per audit. Paid prices exclude tax.

A complete audit costs 10 + 2 × questions + questions × (platforms − 1) credits. Ten saved questions on three available platforms cost 50 credits. Four runs of that scope use 200 credits, leaving 100 on Plus only if no other charged work uses the balance. Question generation and extra website analyses also draw from that shared pool. Each project includes one website analysis every seven days.

This is an audit budget, not an unlimited monitoring subscription. Thirty runs of the same ten-question, three-platform scope would cost 1,500 credits, above either plan’s included monthly balance. Pro supports scheduling and HTML/Markdown report downloads; scheduled audits use the normal quote. Annual billing changes payment timing, not the monthly credit allowance.

Our argument for choosing AI Cite Who is the connection between a selected buying situation, its captured evidence and a report your team can act on. It is not a claim to be the cheapest daily tracker. Start with a few questions whose answers could change a real content decision, then expand when the first findings prove useful.

6. A small-team budget example: four reviews or daily observations?

Consider a fictional SaaS team examining ten purchasing questions across three platforms. This is a planning example, not a customer result or a benchmark. The team can either review four comparable audits during the month or collect observations daily. Those are different workloads, even when the question text is identical.

In AI Cite Who, the four audits use 200 credits under the current formula. That fits Plus’s included balance before other spending. The daily version requires 1,500 credits and does not fit. For OtterlyAI, ten prompts are within Lite’s advertised 15-prompt capacity, but the three desired engines must be checked against its included and add-on list. For Scrunch, verify how your chosen platforms and frequency use the response allowance. Do not divide a subscription price by its prompt count and call the resulting number cost per audited question. 15

Include implementation time in the budget. Four reviewed reports can be more useful than thirty unread updates when nobody has time to make changes. Daily observations can be more useful when someone owns ongoing analysis. That judgment depends on your team; we cannot infer a return on investment from the subscription price alone.

Monthly jobWhat to count
Four focused reviewsAudit quote, other credit spending and time to inspect evidence
Daily monitoringIncluded prompts, chosen engines, response allowance and review workload
Content deliveryEnterprise scope, deployment requirements and ownership of content updates

7. What an actionable finding should contain

Suppose that fictional team sees a competitor in answers about subscription reporting for small teams. A useful finding should show the question, platform, observation date, captured answer and visible sources. A lower visibility number alone cannot tell you why the competitor appeared.

The next investigation could concern an integration page that does not explain a required capability, or a public directory that still describes an old product limit. Open the evidence, check the current product facts and decide whether a correction is warranted. In AI Cite Who, use the action report to organize that review rather than treating every suggested change as an established cause.

A practical task names the page or source, the observed gap, the fact to verify, the proposed change and a person responsible for it. Record when it was completed. Keep the question and platform scope consistent for the next observation. A change in the next answer is another observation; it does not by itself prove your edit caused the change.

OtterlyAI’s recommendations and annotations can also support follow-through, while Scrunch offers site analysis and optimization. Evaluate one representative finding in each shortlisted product: can your colleague understand the evidence, check the claim and decide what to do without a separate research project? That is a more useful acceptance test than counting report widgets. 45

8. Platform coverage and evidence need separate checks

AI Cite Who can check selected available ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity search configurations. Its reports describe captured samples, not every personalized consumer conversation. OtterlyAI’s engine add-ons and Scrunch’s plan-specific coverage mean that a vendor-wide logo list is not sufficient for procurement. Check the actual feature and plan you intend to use. 16

Brand mention, recommendation and citation are separate observations. An answer can name a product without linking its website; a source can be cited without endorsing the brand. Missing captured evidence is a reason to investigate, not proof that no consumer ever sees the brand.

Preserve question wording, language, intended market, selected configuration and observation date when comparing runs. Scores from different tools reflect different datasets and definitions. They should not be combined into a universal ranking of your brand, and neither a crawler visit nor a content-readiness check proves an eventual recommendation.

9. Our recommendation by use case

Choose AI Cite Who first when your small team wants a focused evidence review and a practical action report, can select important buyer questions and will implement the resulting work. Begin with the free website baseline if public-page readiness is the immediate concern, then confirm the paid audit quote when you need AI-answer evidence.

Choose OtterlyAI first when low-cost daily monitoring for a small prompt set is the essential job and its included engines fit. Evaluate its recommendations and GEO checks as part of that purchase rather than assuming another subscription is required for all follow-through.

Evaluate Scrunch when agent traffic, site optimization and enterprise content delivery are significant requirements. Confirm which capabilities are in Core and which need a custom enterprise agreement. Keep an existing tool if it already supplies the evidence your team needs; adding AI Cite Who should solve a concrete missing workflow.

10. Frequently asked questions

Is AI Cite Who cheaper than OtterlyAI? Not at the published entry price: Plus is $49.90/month, while Lite starts at $29. We recommend AI Cite Who for a focused audit and action workflow when that is the job you need. 1

Does OtterlyAI only monitor mentions? No. Its documentation describes citation analysis, GEO audits and recommendations, including ways to record completed work. 234

Does Scrunch Core include all nine platforms and AXP? The current pricing table lists four engines for Core and AXP under Enterprise. Check the chosen plan and signed scope. 56

Does the free AI Cite Who baseline check AI answers? No. It analyzes public website evidence. Buyer-answer audits require a paid plan and a confirmed question/platform quote.

Will any of these tools make ChatGPT recommend our brand? No tool can guarantee that. Better evidence helps you investigate and prioritize work; recommendations, citations and business outcomes still need to be observed.

Start with the free website baseline. When you need captured buyer-answer evidence, choose your questions and confirm the paid audit quote.
